Read: Our Favourite Vegan Fashion Brands Right Now

Words by: Emily Smith

We’re all very aware the vegan community is multiplying in mass, day by day. Whether it be for health reasons, environmental concerns or for the love of animals. Whichever your pick, this has now thankfully started pushing vegan and sustainable labels to new heights.

We thought we’d round up a few of our favourite conscious labels, so you can go shopping and feel good about it at the same time!

Sans Beast

Sans Beast was launched last year in Australia by Cathryn Wills, after she adopted a vegetarian diet and grew tired of the world of leather handbags she’d been immersed in for nearly 30 years. She wanted to take an ethical stance on animal welfare and the environment, and she’s done just that and more – the bags and leather accessories are even nicer than classic leather, in our opinion.

We’re doting on the Classic Noir Liason Backpack (pictured below, available here) and those wallets…damn she does non-leather well.

With a studio in Melbourne and plenty of stockists around Australia, this brand is one you need to get around ASAP!

Veja
If you haven’t seen Veja sneakers on every corner, you must be living under a rock. But you may not have known they’re vegan, too – extra points!

Veja is a French brand committed to sustainability and environmental consciousness. Passionate about social initiatives and pushing for cultural change, Veja doesn’t compromise style for their cause. You can get your hands on their classic sneakers pretty much anywhere, including at their online store.

Ararose

This London brand launched in 2017 by two sisters looking to create travel-inspired clothing, with a difference.

Committed to providing fair wages and conditions to their employees and factory workers, the brand focuses on quality, timeless pieces, father than temporary trends, and involve realistic-looking models, rather than the stick-thin types we’re all far too sick of seeing plastered everywhere.

They even have a Conscious Outlet, a sub-store offering discounted garments which have small flaws or have been used in photoshoots, to minimise waste and offer affordability.

We’re obsessed with their organic cotton basic printed tees like this one:

Vegan, sustainable and affordable. Don’t mind if we do… Shop here!

Urban Originals

Another vegan bag brand, offering free shipping throughout Australia, Urban Originals promises all their products are cruelty free, ethically sourced and made from eco-conscious fabrics.

In addition to using the best quality vegan leathers and recycled materials, they ensure all their products are made in fair trade conditions. And they donate 10% of all profits to human rights causes, to prevent slavery and human trafficking throughout the world.

Surely, that means we’re obliged to buy up big, right?

With a huge range of colours and prints, you won’t be disappointed. Get shopping!
