READ: Get Your Cold Arse Out Of The House And Hit Up These Events In April

Did anyone else feel the cold chill that engulfed Sydney over the last week? It can only mean one thing, the post-summer, pre-winter blues have arrived.

Although it’s still 24 degrees outside every man and his dog are currently wrapped up likes it’s winter in Russia and are denying any social activities due to ‘poor weather’ - similarly to that of every woman you’ve chatted to on Tinder. Yep, the blues are back in full force but thankfully April has some events that are going to have you swiping right on all social events again. Check them out below.

Whilst many take off Friday and jet off for the weekend, for those planning on staying local for the long weekend there are oodles and oodles of activities to keep you busy. For lovers of petting zoos and overpriced prize bags you can’t go past the Royal Easter Show or for another family friendly affair the team at Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel are also hosting an Easter celebration. The event will host games, Easter feasts and dance parties for the more festive easter goers. If none of this sounds appealing, maybe these suggestions for a more adult (ish) Easter long weekend might do the trick.

Oh sweet mother’s milk, who could ever say no to a festival dedicated to one thing and one thing only - booze. Well not our alcohol lovin’ arses thats for sure, especially if one is a rum soiree.

Lovers of rum, this is the ultimate Sunday session for you. From 1pm taste test some of the best rums in the nation, throw down a daiquiri, join a masterclass or grab yourself a couple of sweet nectar for your next soiree at Sugarcane Sunday Rum Festival. For the rum fiends out there also looking for a feed, grab yourself some island food and kitsch cocktails at their tiki hut and dance the arvo away to reggae.
