Riding in, on what we can only assume is a Stallion, Lenny Kravitz is decked out in a double denim ensemble, looking extra AF before introducing us to his incredible Brazilian farm compound.
Nestled in the wilderness, the old coffee plantation was meant to be a place to relax after wrapping up his tour through South America. Speaking to Architectural Digest, Kravitz said, ‘“Everyone was ready to go home, but something told me, ‘Have an adventure.’ So we got there at night, and the next morning I awoke in the most spectacularly lush, beautiful landscape you can imagine. We were nestled in a valley, surrounded by mountains, with waterfalls, cows, horses, monkeys, fruit groves, and vegetable fields—the whole panoply of nature.” You’ve got to admire a man who can use the word ‘panoply’ properly.
What was meant to be a sure stay to recoup turned into a month and then six months. Needless to say, Kravitz fell in love with the farm. ‘I thought, I’m done with the hustle and the bustle. I’m going to be a farmer,’ said Kravitz.
Two years later, Kravitz purchases the countryside estate and begins the expansive renovations. Featuring a Brazilian barbecue, a full-sized football field and 19th-century Portuguese colonial-style farmhouses and outbuildings, it's a wonder he ever wants to leave home. Have a squiz below.
